Tubería en Y y tubería en T:
Las tuberías en Y son similares a las tuberías en T. La única diferencia es que el ramal está inclinado para reducir la fricción que podría obstaculizar el flujo. La conexión de la tubería suele estar en un ángulo de 45 grados en lugar del ángulo habitual de 90 grados. Si al final una rama resulta ser perpendicular a la línea de paso, el accesorio de tubería se convierte en una "T en estrella".
